So I stole the line in my title from Abc's Nightline last night, technically its was used by Barack Obama during last years election when he was spoke about McCain postponing his campaign to deal with the economic crises.
Regardless I will use it as my foray for this weeks blog topic.
Is the president taking on to much?
That has been the new question prompted by the media in Washington as well as other politicians.
On Sunday President Obama announced his plan to pull 12,000 troops to begin the process of withdrawing from Iraq, on Monday he signed an executive order that will over turn President Bush's policy on stem cell research, and today he revealed an education system blueprint for the 21st century.
And I thought I was busy.
Usually when I have a million things to do I sit down and finish each thing one at a time because if I just pick at certain things I will never get them done.
Maybe the President is better at multi-tasking than me, but I do like that he is tackling everything head on, and at the very least trying to do something.
However I am a little worried that in doing so he might not fix everything he tackles, if I were in his cabinet I might recommend him to prioritize.
But what do I know, maybe its best to put out the fire all at once instead of focusing on certain areas.
All I do know is that the fire needs to be put out and I do not think Americans really care how its done.
Here is the video from the segment of Nightline.
Is that an Armani suit?
ReplyDeleteOkay, being serious, its not a question on if President Obama is taking on too much, but what the house is doing to help him with all the issues we are facing. Once again, the President alone will not suceed if this nation continues to doubt him and does not back him up. Its time we stop waiting for him to fail in something and start uplifting the President in something. We knew Bush coluldnt accomplish alot of things, but he was voted in twice!
